Research Philosophy

Research often leads to small discoveries, or one could say epiphanies, that brings about big changes in thinking. The pathway to research was a slow discovery for me and I am looking forward to continuing the research process and share it, teach it to any willing student.

I strongly believe that research should combine curiosity to discover something new and the societal needs and individual values. Personally, I am determined to work towards a sustainable future that considers the impact of development and climate change.

With my experience and background, this determination intersects with a problems related to wild-land fires and threats posed by emerging technologies.

Research Interest

I am particularly interested in applying my skills for research in the following three research areas:

  • model development for predicting fire spread in wildland-urban interface (WUI) region,
  • modeling of fundamental heat transfer and thermodynamic processes, and
  • waste up-cycling via pyrolysis.
